Floating ball screw support BF 20 - Hiwin

BF 20 fixed support or floating support for ball screw with nominal shaft diameter between 25 - 28mm, including bearing rigid ball screw.


For proper operation, the spindles need bearing support points at their ends; because the spindles support and generate axial and radial forces, they will need a fixed support at one end and a floating support at the other end.

BF type floating supports allow slight axial movement, accommodating the thermal expansion and contraction of the ball screw. They are generally used at the opposite end of the ball screw to prevent binding and ensure smooth operation. These types of supports are assembled on the spindle on the opposite side of the motor.

BF type supports are suitable for providing stability and accuracy in linear motion applications, they provide strong support for the spindles, giving longer spindle life and better spindle performance by reducing spindle wear. Their rigid design minimizes spindle deflection, ensuring alignment and accuracy of motion.


The spindle height of the BF floating support bearing matches that of the BK fixed support bearing. The spindle end machining suitable for BK fixed supports is type E10-xx.
